Bookings & Lessons
- Driving lessons are subject to instructor availability. Learning Pedals Driving school will always endeavour to schedule lessons as conveniently as possible.
- All clients should be contactable prior to their lesson as the Instructor will call or sms on arrival.
- Clients should always bring their respective licences/permits and/or logbooks to all lessons. Failure to bring the necessary documents may result in the postponement of the lesson and may incur a charge.
- It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure they have any necessary items such as corrective eye wear when driving.
Cancellations
- Unless specified differently, Learning Pedals Driving School requires 24 hours notice of any cancellation or postponement of lessons.
- Unless specified differently, Learning Pedals Driving School requires 3 days notice of any cancellation of a Drive Test.
- Failure to cancel within the necessary timeframe may incur 100% of the Lesson/Drive Test cost.
- In the event where a client has cancelled more than twice with inadequate notice, Learning Pedals Driving School reserves the right to request prepayment for any future lessons.
Payments & Refunds
- Payments are due at each lesson with the exception of packages which have been prepaid.
- Payment can be made by cash, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or by credit/debit cards. EFT payments are required to be made prior to the lesson. Learning Pedals Driving School reserves the right to request a receipt number and details of such payments. Credit/Debit card payments will incur a 2.2% surcharge.
- All packages are required to be paid in full at the first lesson of the package.
- Clients who book for a Drive Test with no lessons prior to the day of the test will be requested by the allocated Instructor to make the required payment at least 5 days prior to the scheduled Drive Test. Payments must be notified to the Instructor. Failure to make the payment within this timeframe will result in the booking being cancelled by the Instructor.
- Clients who book for a Drive Test with no lessons prior to the day and who are within 5 days of their Drive Test will be requested by the allocated Instructor to make the required payment within 2 hours of the booking. Payments must be notified to the Instructor. Failure to make the payment within this timeframe will result in the booking being cancelled by the Instructor.
- Instructors may request partial advance payments of packages to secure the Client bookings in the system. Payments must be notified to the Instructor. Failure to make the payment within this timeframe will result in the booking being cancelled by the Instructor.
- All refunds will occur in the form of an Electronic Funds Transfer made to the Client’s requested Bank Details. Client to provide details.
- In the event of a prepaid package which has already commenced, the refund will be less a $25 Administration Fee and less the lessons undertaken. Lessons undertaken will be charged at the full single lesson price.
- Within the above general guidelines, we are flexible to consider payment options to help you and create a Win-Win situation. It is at Learning Pedals Driving Schools’ discretion to enter into payment plans with Client.
Drive Tests
- On the day of the Drive Test, it is the Client’s responsibility to have all necessary documentation as required by VicRoads. This can be checked at the VicRoads website www.vicroads.vic.gov.au.
Specials/Offers
- Learning Pedals Driving School reserves the right to run Specials and Promotions with variations to these Terms and Conditions.
- Where Learning Pedals runs a promotion with no specified Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions will be considered to be in effect.
Prices & Packages
- While Learning Pedals Driving School endeavours to provide prior notice of impeding price changes, Learning Pedals Driving School reserves the right to change prices as deemed necessary.
- Packages are valid for 3 months unless otherwise stated.
- Packages are non-transferable between individuals and/or instructors.
Social Media and Advertising
- Your Allocated Instructor will request to take your photo/video on the successful completion of your Drive Test for the purposes of Social Media Marketing including but not limited to facebook, instagram and the Learning Pedals website. Learning Pedals Driving School will request your consent for any other use of your image/media.
- The Client releases Learning Pedals Driving School and assigns permission to licence all images and sound recordings and to use of image and sound recordings in any media for any purpose which may include, among others, advertising, promotion, marketing and packaging for any product or service. The Client agrees that any images and sound recordings may be combined with other images, text and graphics, cropped, altered and modified.
- The Client agrees that Learning Pedals Driving School has all rights to images and sound recordings, for perpetuity unless explicitly noted in writing either separately or in these Terms and Conditions. The Client acknowledges and agrees that Learning Pedals Driving School is not liable for any further consideration, accounting, or claim for any reason.
- By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you allow Learning Pedals Driving School to take your photo and agree to allow Learning Pedals Driving School to use your image and sound and waive any right to compensation for this use.
Special Terms and Conditions for the Intense Drive Test Preparation Lessons and Packages
- These packages must be completed within a 6 week timeframe.
- Pickup location for all lessons and Drive test must be at the respective VicRoads location or must be within 2km of the respective VicRoads.
- Packages are non-transferable between individuals and/or instructors.
